Since the Watergate Affair, the cess-pool of USA capitalism stinks progressively even more. As bourgeois society decays, its sores become visible to all and can no longer be hidden. Especially when the ruling class is divided for the members of the factions use whatever weapons it can against its internal enemies.
Anyone remotely interested in politics has followed the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Nevertheless, the following summary is merited as a chronicle. What has been revealed so far, is the unvarnished reality of the only face of capitalism in the 2000s – an ugly face.
Key aspects in this tale of power are: the predatory victimisation of girls and women; the corrupt dealings of the richest billionaires; the entanglement into the web of corruption of all sectors of society-wielding power – politics, law, education and research…
- Who was Jeffrey Epstein and how did he become so powerful?
Epstein came from a humble blue-collar background. Asking the above question is really asking how he became rich. Epstein was a math and physics teacher in New York when, by chance he was introduced to Bear Sterns executive Ace Greenberg, who liked:
“…what he called P.S.D.s: those who were poor, smart and had “a deep desire to become rich.”

He also charmed Bears executive Michael Tennenbaum. On the basis of fraudulent claims of two university degrees, he was appointed as a bond dealer. Even after the fraud was exposed, he was enabled to stay. He started slowly as a:
“A relentless scammer, abusing expense accounts, engineering inside deals and demonstrating a remarkable knack for separating seemingly sophisticated investors and businessmen from their money. He started small, testing his tactics and seeing what he could get away with… Again and again, he proved willing to operate on the edge of criminality and burn bridges in his pursuit of wealth and power…”

“In 1980, Bear Stearns named him a limited partner — one rung below a full partner — and Epstein, who was 27 at the time, claimed that he was the youngest in the firm’s history to join the partnership…”

Fraudulent charges for personal enrichment were ignored, and followed by insider trading, and breaking loan rules.
He was finally dismissed from Bear Stearns, but by then, he had accumulated the contacts and money he needed. One crucial contact was a “junior saleswoman – and former Miss Indianapolis” – named Paula Heil: She linked him to Douglas Leese, a British “defense contractor with extensive connections in the arms industry and the British government. Leese cut him off after financial abuse.” (Enrich et al; Ibid; New York Times 16 December 2025). The NYT does not tell us, but the Drop Site team does that:
“… Bermuda financial records and Leese’s own lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Miami, suggests he was working with the U.S. government and linked to a Chinese arms manufacturer. The Times also failed to note that Epstein and Leese had a mutual associate in Adnan Khashoggi, the notorious money launderer and weapons trafficker—who was also a central player in the Iran-Contra affair.”

But again – Epstein was headed upward, and… ever shorter of cash. He was refining his methods of using money, sexual ‘favours’ by way of bribed and coerced teenaged girls and older women to gain influence. This basic strategy was coupled to an unusual knack of knowing what the individuals of the ruling class and their entitled intelligentsia wanted. He soon linked up with he joined forces with John Stanley Pottinger, “a lawyer who had recently left a senior post in the Justice Department.” ( Enrich et al; Ibid; New York Times 16 December 2025).
Once again, what the NYT does not tell us – the Intercept does – namely that:
“Stanley Pottinger, as it happens, was a notable figure in the scandal that became known as Iran-Contra, in which the CIA used Israel as a middleman to move off-the-books weapons to Iran. In the early 1980s, under the CIA’s supervision, Pottinger advised an Iranian banker on shipping embargoed arms to Iran using fraudulent paperwork and overseas “dummy companies”—in the very same period that Pottinger and Epstein worked together selling “tax-avoidance” strategies from a penthouse by Central Park. Pottinger’s system eventually gave rise to a network of covert intermediaries shipping arms around the world; the CIA’s profits became a slush fund used to illegally bankroll the insurgent Contra army, who waged a war against Nicaragua’s leftist government while simultaneously trafficking cocaine to the United States“.

All spheres of the modern capitalist state wanted to know him… financiers, billionaires of the high-tech revolution, American politicians, foreign politicians, including Israeli manipulators, European royalty, and last but not least -influential opinion making intellectuals. As Epstein became richer, he drew more money and those with money, to himself:
“His success made him a millionaire many times over—he owned one of the largest private residences in Manhattan, New York, and one of the U.S. Virgin Islands—and as such, he moved in circles of wealth and influence. Among those he socialized and did business with were Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, Prince Andrew, and others. This involvement is known because parts of the Epstein files have been released in response to questions raised by journalists and Epstein’s accusers. The documents that have been released do not implicate Trump, Clinton, or Jackson in any illegal behavior. Andrew has denied any wrongdoing. However, in October 2025, King Charles stripped Andrew of his “prince” title because of his ties to Epstein.”

2. The Epstein Affair
The scandal emerged into the public eye when in 2008, Epstein was convicted of sex offences, having pled guilty to charges of soliciting prostitution from a minor. He was given a ‘light sentence’ after a ‘plea agreement’ in Palm Beach, Florida from a dodgy prosecutor who would become a Trump ally:
“In 2005, the parents of a 14-year-old girl told police in Florida that Epstein had molested their daughter at his Palm Beach home. A police search of the property found photos of girls throughout the house. The Miami Herald reported that his abuse of underage girls dated back years. “This was not a ‘he said, she said’ situation,” Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter told the newspaper. “This was 50-something ‘shes’ and one ‘he’ – and the ‘shes’ all basically told the same story.” “He has never been secretive about the girls,” columnist Michael Wolff told New York magazine for a 2007 profile piece, as the case against Epstein moved through the courts. “At one point, when his troubles began, he was talking to me and said, ‘What can I say, I like young girls.’ I said, ‘Maybe you should say, ‘I like young women’.'” However, prosecutors forged a deal with the hedge fund manager in 2008. He avoided federal charges – which could have seen him face life in prison – and instead received an 18-month prison sentence, during which he was able to go on “work release” to his office for 12 hours a day, six days a week. He was released on probation after 13 months…
The Miami Herald reported that the federal prosecutor Alexander Acosta struck a plea agreement, hiding the extent of Epstein’s crimes and ending an FBI investigation into whether there were more victims or more powerful people who took part. The paper described it as the “deal of the century”. Acosta resigned in July 2019 over the scandal, though he defended his actions as guaranteeing at last some jail time for Epstein.”

In 2017, during Trump’s first Presidency – he appointed the very same – Alexander Acosta – to be his Secretary of Labor. After events to be described below in 2019, he resigned (CBC.ca).
Epstein was re-arrested in 2019 – this time in New York. Likely, his escalating abuses and of even very young girls had by now, simply become too flagrant to ignore. Knowledge of his use of sexual bribery had become too widespread to be hidden. Moreover some of his victims were mobilising for some sort of an acknowledgment and prosecution.
When he was finally re-arrested, it was for sex trafficking charges and running a “vast network” of underage girls for sex. Some eighty of his victims were set to give evidence. 3. Trump and Epstein
At the time he was re-arrested, President Trump was in his first term. Despite much media knowledge of the prior association between the two men – Trump flatly denied any meaningful contact. On July 9th, the day after Epstein’s guilty plea and indictment on sex trafficking – dismissed his contact:
“On July 8, in federal court in Manhattan, Epstein is indicted on sex trafficking charges. He pleads not guilty and is held in a federal jail. The next day, a reporter asks Trump if he still thinks Epstein is a terrific guy. Trump responds: “I don’t think I’ve spoken to him for 15 years. I wasn’t a fan.”

But there is considerably more to the connection between Trump and Epstein than that, as a detailed time-line makes clear:
“1990s
Trump, then a wealthy real-estate developer, and Epstein, a hedge-fund manager, move in the same elite social circles in Manhattan and Palm Beach, Fla., and become friends.
1992: Video from a party at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort shows the two men together.
1993: Epstein attends Trump’s wedding to Marla Maples, according to video and photos obtained by CNN.
1993-97: Trump travels at least seven times on one of Epstein’s private jets, according to flight logs that eventually become evidence in lawsuits. However, none of the flights go to Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean.
2000s
Trump rises to national fame with his reality TV show The Apprentice, while Epstein is charged with sexually abusing teenage girls.
2002: In a feature about Epstein in New York magazine, Trump is quoted as saying he’d known Epstein for 15 years. “Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with,” Trump said. “It’s even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”
2003: For his 50th birthday, Epstein receives a leather-bound book containing letters from friends. One message is from Trump, featuring an outline drawing of a naked woman and text suggesting the two men share a secret, the Wall Street Journal recently reported. Trump has denied he wrote the letter and is suing the newspaper for libel.
Mid-2000s: Trump and Epstein have a falling out, and the reasons are unclear. Most recently, Trump has said it was triggered by Epstein “taking people that worked for me” at Mar-a-Lago. Other accounts have blamed a 2004 bidding war over a mansion in Palm Beach or Epstein harassing the daughter of a Mar-a-Lago member in 2007. “

4. Epstein’s death
Epstein was found dead in jail from hanging in August 2019. As of yet, it remains unclear whether he was killed or whether he was conveniently abetted in committing suicide. He was after all in an area with constant high security camera surveillance. After his death, attention focused upon his former girlfriend, and then ‘fixer’ – Ghislaine Maxwell the daughter of a newspaper magnate:
a“She was arrested in July 2020 at her secluded mansion in the US state of New Hampshire on suspicion of having assisted Epstein’s abuse of minors by helping to recruit and groom victims known to be underage.
In December 2021, a jury in New York City found her guilty on five out of six counts, including the most serious charge – that of sex trafficking of a minor. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison, meaning the 60-year-old could spend the rest of her life behind bars.
The Oxford-educated Maxwell is said to have introduced Epstein to many of her wealthy and powerful friends, including Bill Clinton and Andrew.
Friends said that although Maxwell and Epstein’s romantic relationship lasted only a few years, she continued to work with him long afterwards…”

5. They knew “NOTHING” – “nothing” at all
After Epstein’s death in 2019, all manner of power-brokers in high society claimed not to know of his past. It is improbable (to say the very least) that his well-known background simply could have been overlooked by those reaching out for his ‘charm’ and his ‘intellect’.
Yet they – all these rich, powerful politicians, titans of high-tech industry, finance, universities, and savants – all claimed ignorance of his sex crimes and that they ‘hardly knew him’. The tune was the same:
“They said they didn’t really know Jeffrey Epstein that well. They were disgusted by him… They were just drawn to his intellect or love of science or business acumen. They didn’t know about his abuse of women and girls. They deeply regretted associating with him. In the years since Mr. Epstein’s 2019 arrest and death by suicide in a Manhattan jail, some of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful people have hastened to distance themselves from the disgraced man with whom they once did business, dined in lavish settings or flew on private jets. But a slow drip of document releases and other revelations over the last several months – culminating in Friday’s release of nearly three million pages of Epstein-related records – has underscored the depth, intensity, and persistence of his connections to the global elite, contradicting or undermining years of careful denials.”

A pause in the story ensued as first the Biden administration, and then the second Trump Administration clamped down. They held onto the impounded emails and correspondence files of Epstein. It became clear that the pus in the “Epstein Files” was potentially explosive for both Democrats and Republicans, and self-professed anarchist savants. Although the anarchist savants, like Noam Chomsky, were certainly the least to pose any concern to the ruling class!
The questions refused to go away, and the victims of Epstein and his friends – continued to push for answers and some measure of justice. Hence, over at least the last 6 years, the so-called “Epstein Affair” progressively unfolded more. But the ruling class continued to this day – to resist full opening.
6. Opening the files was like prising blood out of Trump’s stone
While candidate Trump was campaigning for his second term as USA President, he was ‘winding up’ his MAGA organisation. A frequent taunt against the Democrats and their ‘deep state’ – became that they were hiding details of the “Epstein Affair” to protect Democrats. Widespread beliefs that Democratic power-brokers, including former President Bill Clinton, were being protected were fostered by Trump associates. These included Vice-President JD Vance, and Attorney General Pam Bondi:
“2023-24: During Joe Biden’s presidency, key players in Trump’s MAGA movement lead a push for more details of the Epstein case to be made public. Some go on to play key roles in Trump’s second administration: Vice-President JD Vance, FBI director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi.”

Upon winning the elections, Trump and Pam Bondi, promised to release “all files.” But then it became quite clear, that they did not intend to fulfil this promise:
“2025
Feb. 21: A month after Trump’s inauguration, Bondi is asked by Fox News whether the Justice Department will release Epstein’s client list. “It’s sitting on my desk right now to review,” she responds, adding that a “truckload” of previously withheld evidence was being examined.
July 7: The Department of Justice announces that no more files related to the Epstein investigation will be released, and declares that no list of his clients exists. This angers some MAGA supporters, but both on social media and in exchanges with reporters, Trump tells people to stop talking about Epstein.
July 23: The Wall Street Journal reports that Trump had been briefed in May that his name is among many that appear in the Epstein files. The paper notes that this does not indicate any wrongdoing by Trump.

After significant stalling – they were forced by public outcry – including from loud MAGA supporters and the victims of Epstein’s predations – to release at least some of the files:
“In November 2025, both chambers of US Congress overwhelmingly approved the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Soon afterwards, President Donald Trump signed the bill that ordered the justice department to release by 19 December all its files from the criminal investigations that took place into Epstein.
Some, but not all, material was published on deadline day, and there were subsequent releases over the following weeks.
It is not clear whether the saga has now reached its conclusion. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said a release on 30 January represented “the end of a very comprehensive document identification and review process”.
But campaigners, including some opposition Democrats, argue that the department has withheld too many documents without proper justification.”

Ro Khanna Democratic US Congressman was one of those pushing to get President Trump and his United States attorney general Pam Bondi – to honour their election promises to release the Epstein files. He observed that:
“Some of the richest people, tech giants, financial magnates, and politicians are involved in one way or another,” said Democratic U.S. Congressman Ro Khanna, who, along with his Republican colleague Thomas Massie, fought for months for the release, to NBC. “They exchanged emails with him and wanted to visit Epstein’s island, even though they knew Epstein was a pedophile.”

Now some of these “rich and powerful” are squirming as letters, emails and photographs – of them feeding at Epstein’s trough are released by the besieged Trump administration. The sheer swath of power brokers in the USA – but also in Europe – is extraordinary. Once again – pretences of “not knowing” are laughable and “absurd”. As the Financial Times correspondent Edward Luce puts it:
“… the breadth of Epstein’s network. This includes the sitting US president and a previous one, big Wall Street figures, a network of Ivy League luminaries, Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, foreign government officials, Democrats, Republicans, a Maga influencer, a far left scholar, British and Norwegian royals, wives and girlfriends of powerful men, government lawyers, heads of law firms, movie directors and endless celebrities. Epstein’s network is an MRI of the establishment.
The idea that anyone did not know about Epstein’s conviction as a sex abuser is absurd. Some people spurned his social approaches. Having been invited in 2010 to an Epstein dinner with Woody Allen and then Prince Andrew in New York, the magazine editor, Tina Brown, replied: “What the fuck is this . . .? The paedophile’s ball?” Brown’s reaction should have been everyone’s. So should that of Melinda Gates, the now ex-wife of Bill Gates, who stepped into Epstein’s home once and immediately regretted it. Alas, their reaction was all too rare. More common to anyone with the stomach to sample this trove, is that of the former Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, “I have never been more touched by a friends [sic] kindness…”, she wrote to Epstein.”

A few examples (albeit this looks like many names – it is only a fraction of the powerful that are named in the Epstein Files) – suffice to paint the putrid worlds of today’s capitalism.
It is frankly, a tedious list to note, and full of disgusting details. Moreover each strand noted below, requires much more work to fully show the intense interlacing. But merely seeing the pervasive extent of the corruption – is itself also of political significance.
We should start with the Chief Perpetrator of Corruption himself – President Trump.
7. More of Trump’s relationship with Epstein
We discussed the time-line of Trump’s long association with Epstein above, but the close relationship merits repetition:
“I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,” Trump told New York magazine for a profile on Epstein in 2002. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”
“No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
The president would later say that the two fell out in the early 2000s, years before Epstein was first arrested. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.”

It seems the close buddy-buddy relationship fell apart over either a real estate deal, or women, or both. Very likely much information is still locked up.
The relationship of former Democratic Party President Bill Clinton to both Epstein, and to his procuress Ghislaine Maxwell – was also very close. Currently, the full details are not yet known. A forthcoming Congressional hearing may elucidate this more.
8. Various “high-fliers” seeking Mr. Epstein out
Non-USA Politicians
Lord Peter Mandelson (UK)
The most visible and perhaps most explosive link exposed thus far outside of the USA in political terms is that of scoundrel Lord Peter Mandelson. He remains a Labour party peer – until now, he has been allowed to retain his title. Although he has resigned from the House of Lords – which he did before he could be booted out. These links with Epstein – going way beyond the Florida jailing – now threaten the Labour Party Prime Minister (PM) of the UK Sir Keir Starmer. -The PM had appointed Mandelson as Ambassador to Trump’s USA Government. It seems clear that Starmer was already aware of Mandelson’s dodgy record on Epstein:
“Britain’s Sir Keir Starmer – The prime minister seems on borrowed time after allegations that Lord Peter Mandelson — who Starmer appointed his ambassador to Washington — leaked confidential, market-sensitive information as a government minister in 2009 to Epstein, already a convicted sex offender. Documents suggest Mandelson also received $75,000 from the financier. Police are investigating possible misconduct in public office. Mandelson has denied wrongdoing and questioned the authenticity of messages related to the payments.”

The email trial firmly implicates Mandelson in financially sensitive and secret data that Mandelson – as a Minister – just gave over to Epstein. Presumably to Epstein’s monetary gains:
“Police are investigating the veteran Labour politician and former UK ambassador to the US over allegations that he passed sensitive government information to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein when he was business secretary under Gordon Brown in 2009 and 2010.
Emails released by the US justice department are alleged to show Mandelson passing on market-sensitive information to the disgraced American financier, including details of a €500bn EU bailout of the Eurozone.”

Mandelson and the UK PM Starmer, also unlocked key sectors of the UK economy to Alex Karp and his notorious Palantir firm:
“Downing Street has refused to say whether Sir Keir Starmer knew Palantir was a client of Peter Mandelson’s lobbying firm when they both visited the company in Washington last February — ahead of it winning a £240mn UK government contract.
At the time, Mandelson was both Britain’s ambassador to the US and a shareholder in Global Counsel, the lobbying firm he co-founded in 2010 that counts Palantir as a client.
During the visit, which was arranged by Mandelson’s office, Starmer met Palantir chief executive Alex Karp and the company’s UK chief Louis Mosley at the company’s showroom on February 27 2025. Starmer held a press conference with US President Donald Trump that same day.
Several months later Karp signed a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Defence, in which the government agreed to spend up to £750mn on Palantir’s defence technology over the next five years.”

The penetration of US firms into the UK economy has not yet been adequately discussed by the Marxist-Leninist left. But Epstein seems to have been involved in significant unlocking. The extent of Palantir’s entry into the UK market can be gauged from the following:
“Palantir also has ties with the UK health service. Ahead of winning a contract worth up to £330mn in 2023 to help manage patient data, Palantir recruited two senior NHS officials specialising in AI and data, a move which raised concerns about the company’s growing ties to the health service.
Palantir has also hired civil servants from departments including the UK’s Ministry of Defence and the Home Office and forged other links with British government officials. It has used former high-level civil servants, such as former MI6 chief Sir John Sawers, to broker introductions in the UK.”

Once again of course – they all “knew nothing, nothing at all”….
“Peter Mandelson sought advice from Jeffrey Epstein on setting up his advisory firm, Global Counsel, including how to target potential new clients such as the Chinese government.
Email correspondence from 2010 released in the so-called Epstein Files has undermined attempts by Benjamin Wegg-Prosser, Global Counsel’s chief executive and Mandelson’s long-standing right-hand man, to distance the firm, which has advised large companies including JPMorgan, Palantir and Anglo American, from the convicted child sex offender.
Global Counsel’s co-founder Wegg-Prosser met Epstein in New York to discuss the business before the firm’s launch and communicated with him about the pricing of a potential deal with Lazard. Wegg-Prosser also messaged Epstein directly on two separate occasions, including asking for the child sex offender’s mobile number to provide a password for Mandelson’s book manuscript.
Last September, after Mandelson resigned as UK ambassador to the US in the wake of leaked emails showing the extent of his relationship with Epstein after his conviction in 2008, Wegg-Prosser emailed directors of Global Counsel insisting “GC has never had any dealings with Jeffrey Epstein”.

Israeli intelligence and Israeli Prime Ministers Ehud Barak, and Benjamin Netanyahu
Naturally, the state of Israel has been keen to secure as much monies as needed to assist its self-stated mission to destroy Palestine. At least two of its’ Prime Ministers were invovled with Epstein. In especial Ehud Barak:

While Barak has previously acknowledged having a business relationship with Epstein via the Israeli emergency services startup Reporty, the communications suggest that the politician coordinated with the disgraced financier on several previously unknown business proposals, relying heavily on his advice and connections.
Barak, who led Israel from 1999 to 2001 and served as the country’s defence minister from 2007 to March 2013…
Like many powerful figures in Epstein’s orbit, Barak, who said he first met the late financier in 2003, continued his association with Epstein for years after he became a convicted sex offender following a controversial plea deal in 2008…
Barak did not respond to requests for comment sent to his personal email address and those of his lawyers and publisher…
Just months after Barak ended his tenure as Israel’s defence chief in 2013, Epstein promised to make the politician hundreds of millions of dollars in an email flexing his skills as a financial adviser.”

Naturally of course, Barak “knew nothing, nothing at all”:
“In 2015, The Mirror newspaper contacted Barak to give him a chance to comment on whether he was aware that his business partner was “paying underage girls for sex”. In a letter sent through his lawyers, Barak denied any knowledge of criminality by Epstein. “As to your question about my awareness of Mr. Epstein’s activity, you are assuming allegations as fact and, even if the allegations turn out to be true, I was never aware that Mr. Epstein, to quote you, ‘was paying underage girls for sex.’”

These merely money deals are bad enough. But far worse – Epstein and Israeli Intelligence were firmly tied. Much of the story was broken by ‘Dropsite” news-site using materials hacked by ‘Handala’. Canadian intelligence has suggested that the Handala hackers are linked to Iranian intelligence. Even so the claims about Mossad, Epstein and Barak have not been refuted. This quotation comes not from ‘Dropsite’ but ‘Palestine Chronicle’:

Later that same year, after threats were made by US President Barack Obama against Syria, Epstein reached out to the former Israeli Prime Minister to suggest that it was time to publish an op-ed with his title and commentary, to which Barak agreed. Epstein offered his advice on what propaganda he should use in order to place pressure on the US to attack Iran…”

But it was not just Barak, ties are revealed also to Benjamin Netanyahu – current PM of Israel and one of the main architects of the on-going genocide of Palestinians. That linkage involves also J.P.Morgan Chase Bank in gas exports from Israel:
“On December 17, 2025, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a $35 billion deal to sell natural gas to Egypt in what officials describe as the largest energy export agreement in Israel’s history. The natural gas will be produced from Leviathan, a massive field west of Haifa. “On this day,” Netanyahu wrote in a statement that day, the third day of Hanukkah, “we’ve brought another jug of oil to the nation of Israel. But this time, the flame will burn not just for eight days, but for decades to come.”…
The deal has been more than a decade in the making—and one unlikely individual played a small, but essential role in laying its groundwork: Jeffrey Epstein. Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak consulted extensively with Epstein on financial deals around Leviathan for years, as Barak searched for international backers for Leviathan’s development…
In fact, Epstein advised financial giant JPMorgan Chase Bank on several global energy and logistics deals after the 2008 financial crisis: unsealed documents from a recent U.S. Virgin Islands’ lawsuit show Epstein engaged with British MP Peter Mandelson regarding the acquisition of natural gas assets from the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2010, and he arranged a 2011 meeting between JPMorgan executive Jes Staley and Karim Wade, son of then President of Senegal Abdoulaye Wade, to discuss a large crude oil trade. (Later, Epstein tried to help with developing Senegal’s offshore gas as well.)
Hacked emails from Barak’s inbox reveal that Epstein shared a critical interest with JPMorgan executives in the early 2010s: development of Israel’s offshore gas fields. Private emails from Barak’s Gmail account show that the former Israeli prime minister was courting foreign investors for the Leviathan gas field, while Epstein provided close guidance behind the scenes. The documents were posted by Distributed Denial of Secrets, a non-profit whistleblower and file-sharing website…
The Leviathan field, discovered in December 2010, was estimated to hold roughly half a trillion cubic meters of recoverable reserves, enough to supply the energy demands of Israel and its neighbors for decades, and transform the energy politics of the Eastern Mediterranean…
Epstein also helped secure a meeting between Netanyahu and senior JPMorgan leadership, a meeting which was referenced in documents from the U.S. Virgin Islands lawsuit and previously reported by the Daily Beast… Netanyahu agreed to the meeting on March 23, 2011—the same day the Knesset Finance Committee voted on a major tax increase on natural gas exports, a key hurdle to beginning commercial development of Leviathan.”

European Royalty
It is extraordinary how much the aura of royal families of Europe still appeals to Americans in high power. Epstein recognised a potential value in these individuals – such as the former Prince Andrew of the UK:
“In December 2010, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor – the third child of Elizabeth II, who was then known as Prince Andrew – was pictured in New York’s Central Park with Epstein, drawing controversy.
In a BBC interview in November 2019, Andrew, who had known Epstein since 1999, said he had gone to New York in 2010 to break off their friendship. He said he regretted staying at the financier’s house while he was there, and that he had “let the side down” by doing so.
Andrew stayed in contact with Epstein for a longer timeframe than he previously admitted, according to emails from 2011 that surfaced years later. Amid the subsequent furore, Andrew was stripped of his royal titles in 2025.
An Epstein accuser, Virginia Roberts – who became known as Virginia Giuffre – alleged that she was made to have sex with Andrew in the early 2000s when she was 17.
Andrew categorically denied having sex with her and said he had no recollection of a photo of the pair being taken together in London.
But in 2022, he paid millions to Ms Giuffre to settle a lawsuit she filed which alleged that he sexually abused her.”

“The former prince features numerous times in the latest release of documents, including images that appear to show him crouched over an unidentified woman in what appears to be Epstein’s New York mansion, while another document appears to confirm that the picture of him with Virginia Giuffre, who alleged that Mountbatten-Windsor had sex with her three times while she was a teenager, is real.”

More recently, it has been shown that Andrew Windsor likely shared British state trade dealings with Epstein also (Caroline Davies and Kyriakos Petrakos; Ibid; Guardian 9 February 2026).
Members of the Norwegian royal family, have also been implicated. Not to speak about the various Middle Eastern royal families – such as Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem of Dubai:
“Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, one of the most senior business figures in Dubai, maintained a relationship with Epstein long after the financier was convicted of soliciting prostitution from a minor in 2008, the documents show.
The emails include Sulayem describing to Epstein women with whom it appears he had had sexual relations, at times apparently sending images as attachments…
In one instance in June 2013, Sulayem sent Epstein an email with a series of details about an individual, including age, weight, height and bra size.
The email reads: “Dear Jeffrey This is the one I went with in Paris do you think she is a he??” Epstein replied: “the hands do look like mine.”

The world of High tech industry
The entire gamut of this industry, from start-ups to established billionaires, sought Epstein out. For example, the start-up firm Coinbase – trading in bitcoin:
“In 2014, Coinbase was a two-year-old start-up offering people the ability to buy and sell Bitcoin. It needed investment to grow and turned to an unlikely source: Jeffrey Epstein.
“Would be nice to meet him if convenient,” (said) Fred Ehrsam, one of Coinbase’s founders… about Mr. Epstein in December 2014 as the financier prepared to make a $3 million investment…
As the company developed… into one of the world’s dominant cryptocurrency exchanges, Mr. Epstein’s $3 million investment would net him multimillion-dollar returns, according to newly released documents from the Justice Department…
… Mr. Epstein’s deep relationships in Silicon Valley… his ability to gain access to hot deals and buzzy start-ups, some of which would become pillars of today’s tech industry… Mr. Epstein was aided by venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and communications professionals, despite growing scrutiny of his abuse of teenage girls and young women.”

Already famous and established high-tech titans like Peter Thiel, Bill Gates, Sergey Brin were colluding with Epstein:
“billionaire Peter Thiel advised Mr. Epstein on potential investments in Palantir, Mr. Thiel’s data analysis company. Mr. Epstein put money into Jawbone, a popular wearable technology start-up, while his financial adviser was pitched on backing SpaceX. And Mr. Epstein tapped a Russian émigré who had become a public relations expert to help broker meetings with start-up founders and media outlets.
Mr. Epstein’s connections to high-profile tech leaders, including Bill Gates, Sergey Brin, Reid Hoffman and Mr. Thiel have been well documented, and some have expressed regret for associating with the financier. The latest batch of files offer deeper insights into how Mr. Epstein made his money after his 2008 conviction and continued to fund a lavish lifestyle by amassing assets worth more than $600 million before his 2019 arrest, according to an audit of his finances within the files.”

“The tech billionaire exchanged emails with Epstein several times in 2012 and 2013 regarding visits to his private island, Little St. James. On November 25, 2012, he asked in an email exchange which day the “wildest party” would be held there. On December 13, 2013, before a trip to the Caribbean, he wrote to Epstein: “Will be in the British Virgin Islands/St. Barthélemy area over the holidays. Is there a good time to visit?” Then, on December 25, he asked Epstein: “What time should we leave for your island on the 2nd?”
Musk denies ever having attended Epstein’s parties.”

Oops, almost forgot details about one of the men who started the computer industry – Bill Gates:
“Gates had a relationship with Epstein beginning in 2011—nearly three years after he was convicted for procuring a child for prostitution in Florida—meeting with the financier on multiple occasions to, at least at the beginning, try to start a donor-advised fund…
…Epstein also made a number of allegations that have caused a firestorm, including allegations of Gates’ drug use and participation in “illicit trysts,” that Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease and then “surreptitiously” gave antibiotics for the disease to then-wife Melinda French Gates. (On behalf of Gates, his charity Gates Foundation decried these allegations as “absolutely absurd and completely false.”)
In a rare public comment on the matter Wednesday, Gates told Australia’s 9 News, “It’s factually true that I was only at dinners, you know, I never went to the island. I never met any women. And so, you know, the more that comes out, the more clear it’ll be that although the time was a mistake, it had nothing to do with that kind of behavior.”
French Gates told NPR Monday the allegations brought back “memories of some very, very painful times in my marriage.”

“British businessman Epstein extended an invitation in 2013. “Whenever you’re in the area, I’d love to see you,” he wrote in an email – “as long as you bring your harem with you.
Branson’s Virgin Group has now stated that Branson only had business dealings with Epstein over a decade ago, or in the context of groups, refused a donation and broke off contact after learning of serious allegations against the American.”

The world of Banking leaders
International bankers were very enamoured of Epstein. Such as Barclays Bank CEO Jes Staley:
“Jeffrey Epstein asked an unidentified woman to buy a Snow White costume just weeks before he and former Barclays chief executive Jes Staley had an infamous exchange in which they discussed the Disney character.
“I would love to take photos of you in a Snow White costume. You can get it from the costume store,” Epstein wrote to the woman on June 20 2010, according to newly released documents from the US Department of Justice, to which she replied: “Will get it!” The exchange happened three weeks before Staley sent Epstein an email on July 10 saying, “that was fun. Say hi to Snow White”, in what has become one of the most controversial communications between the two men over a years-long relationship that the banker has insisted was professional.”… Staley stepped down as chief executive of Barclays in 2021after an investigation by the Financial Conduct Authority over his relationship with the disgraced financier. Barclays had sought to reassure the regulator that Staley did not have a close relationship with Epstein in a letter that was found to be misleading… During the court proceedings, Staley was asked whether he remembered referring to any of the women that were accompanying Epstein as Disney characters or princesses or specific individuals as “Snow White”. The former Barclays chief said: “No.” “I honest to God, when I went through the emails I have no idea what this refers to. I have no idea who Snow White is,” he said during testimony in court.”

Staley was formerly at J.P.Morgan and Chase Bank to which we return below. The European-based Rothschild Bank were hugely indebted to Epstein’s interventions with the US Department of Justice over some of their nefarious dealings:
“Edmond de Rothschild Group was in trouble. It was the end of 2015 and, after months of turmoil, the Swiss private bank owned by a branch of the Rothschild dynasty was closing in on a multimillion-dollar settlement with the US Department of Justice for its part in helping rich Americans hide their assets.
Behind the scenes, the group’s French chief, Baroness Ariane de Rothschild, had tasked Jeffrey Epstein and the lawyer he had introduced her to, Kathy Ruemmler, with closing the deal.
“45 mio [million]?” de Rothschild asked Epstein in a December 2015 email exchange. He replied that, counting a $10mn fee for the lawyers involved and $25mn for him, “I think you will find that . . . all less than 80 pretty good”. “Deep thks for your amazing help,” de Rothschild answered.
Days later, the US DoJ announced a $45mn settlement with Edmond de Rothschild.
Epstein’s pivotal — and lucrative — role in the DoJ deal is just one example of the deep ties he cultivated with the Baroness, who had married into the Rothschild family but now ran a financial group which as of 2024 had SFr (Swiss Francs) 184bn in assets between its private banking and asset management arms.”

A brief aside – Epstein clearly had ‘pull’ over the Department of Justice….. And we have already covered the ‘pull’ Epstein had with the Israeli Prime Minister’s office. J.P.Morgan had reason to be pleased with this ‘pull’:
“After Jeffrey Epstein was arrested for the second time on sex trafficking charges in the summer of 2019, JPMorgan initiated an internal probe, “Project Jeep,” to investigate its risk exposure from Epstein’s criminal activities. The project produced a 22-page summary of the bank’s communications with Epstein, including a bulleted list of excerpts from emails between Epstein and Jes Staley, former head of JPMorgan’s investment bank, dating back to 2008. Staley met Epstein in the mid-1990s, at the offices of The Limited, when Epstein was working as chief financial adviser to fashion mogul Leslie Wexner.
When the New York Times Magazine reported that Staley credited Epstein for setting up the meeting with Netanyahu in 2011, the bank’s spokesman told the paper that JPMorgan “neither needed nor sought Epstein’s help for meetings with any government leaders.” The bank’s statement appears to contradict its own analysis in “Project Jeep,” which includes several examples of Epstein introducing senior bank leadership to government leaders in the UK, Africa, and the Persian Gulf. Epstein “appear[ed] to maintain relationships with a number of senior business executives and senior government officials globally,” JPMorgan’s attorneys wrote.
On March 23, 2011, Roy Navon (head of JPMorgan’s Israel office) sent an email to Staley and Jacob Frenkel, writing, “Against all odds, we have been granted a meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu.” Staley forwarded the email to Epstein with a note: “Thanks.” Epstein replied: “surprise suprise.”

The world of “Health advisers”
Those fraudsters who made a lucrative career of so-called ‘healthy living’ were not exempt, such as Peter Attia:
“The physician and longevity influencer Peter Attia is facing criticism after correspondence between him and the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was released on Friday… Dr. Attia’s name appears in more than 1,700 documents, some of which include direct correspondence in the mid-2010s between him and Mr. Epstein, a disgraced financier who had at that point already pleaded guilty to prostitution charges. Mr. Epstein would later be charged with trafficking underage girls for sex. Dr. Attia… said… that he “never witnessed illegal behavior and never saw anyone who appeared underage” in Mr. Epstein’s presence…
In one email on Feb. 19, 2016, titled “confirmed,” Dr. Attia wrote to Mr. Epstein:
“Pussy is, indeed, low carb. Still awaiting results on gluten content, though.”…
he had offered his medical services to Mr. Epstein and asked, “Have you decided if you’re interested in living longer (solely for the ladies, of course)?”

Brad Karp was the chair of one of the most prestigious US law firms Paul Weiss, with major business contracts:
“Brad Karp is stepping down as chair of US law firm Paul Weiss after revelations about his relationship with child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein… Paul Weiss has said Epstein was not a client of the firm. On March 2, 2019, as the sex offender tried to prevent the 2008 plea deal from being reopened, the DoJ documents show Karp emailed Epstein saying “hope you’re staying calm” and added “[l]et me know what I can do to help”.Epstein replied: “your judgment and friendship.”

Jay Lefkowitz:
“A Kirkland & Ellis lawyer who helped Jeffrey Epstein avoid federal child sex crime charges in 2007 later invited him to his son’s bar mitzvah and asked to borrow his helicopter for a trip to the Hamptons, according to emails released by the US Department of Justice. Jay Lefkowitz, a senior litigator at the world’s highest-grossing law firm, played an important role in arranging for Epstein to plead guilty to lesser state charges of soliciting prostitution from a minor, part of what both Republicans and Democrats have called a “sweetheart deal”. Documents released last week show that in May 2011, less than two years after Epstein’s release from prison… (his) assistant emailed… Epstein’s pilot, saying Lefkowitz was planning to use the helicopter…
Messages referencing Lefkowitz, who is also a lecturer at Columbia Law School, indicate the attorney combined a personal and professional relationship with Epstein. They cover a period spanning at least nine years…
Lefkowitz has won Supreme Court cases for pharmaceutical industry clients and has previously worked as a White House adviser to former president George W Bush and the US special envoy for human rights in North Korea. Kirkland represented Epstein on a series of matters. A spreadsheet released among the DoJ documents says the law firm acted on matters including “DOJ investigation and related lawsuits” and “Jane Doe 101 Litigation”. The document, which also appears to summarise Epstein’s payments to Kirkland, says the firm billed him more than $3mn in a period ending in September 2009.”

The world of the Olympics
Casey Wasserman is the chief of the Los Angeles Summer Olympics organsing committee for 2028, sent several dubious emails to Ghislaine Maxwell:
“… sent several emails in 2003 to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s confidante, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022. In one, Wasserman wrote to Maxwell: “I think about you all the time. So what do I have to do to see you in a tight leather outfit?” Maxwell, in turn, emailed Wasserman, who was married at the time, offering a massage that “can drive a man crazy.”

The world of art:
The director of the Whitney Museum in New York, Mr Ross praised Epstein as “incredible” for proposing an exhibition of “underage models”:
“Among the emails was a 2009 missive in which Mr. Ross responded supportively when Mr. Epstein told him he was contemplating funding an art exhibition, tentatively titled “Statutory,” that would showcase underage models dressed to look older than they were.
“You are incredible,” Mr. Ross said in replying to the idea.
Mr. Ross, who was the director of prominent art museums in the 1980s and 1990s, including the Whitney Museum of American Art…
Mr. Ross said that while he was director of the Whitney Museum in New York in the mid-90s, he was introduced to Mr. Epstein. “I knew him as a wealthy patron and a collector, and it was part of my job to befriend people who had the capacity and interest in supporting the museum,” he said…
In October 2009, Mr. Epstein emailed Mr. Ross to say that Roman Polanski’s lawyers were coming to see him, to discuss possible financial support for an art exhibition that would include images of young men and women, ages 14 to 25, in which they “look nothing like their true ages.”
“Juvenile mug shots, photo shop, make up. Some people go to prison because they can’t tell true age,” Mr. Epstein wrote.
Mr. Ross wrote back: “You are incredible. This would be a very [sic] owerful and freaky book.” He asks Mr. Epstein if he knows “that total porno commercial kiddie picture of Brooke Shields that Richard Prince appropriated for an exhibition in the early 1980s,” referring to Mr. Prince’s print “Spiritual America” (1983), which appropriated a 1976 photo of a 10-year-old, naked Ms. Shields taken by the commercial photographer Garry Gross. Mr. Epstein said he did.”

The world of Academics and policy-makers
Epstein employed several ploys to try to keep his former abused stable of girls quiet. One included bribing universities to enable his former abusees a university education:
“On a broader scale, offering to help young women gain admission to colleges, and arranging for scholarships, was a tactic that Mr. Epstein used to attract and control them, evidence from the files indicates. The documents back up allegations made by Congress in January, when Representative Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, wrote in letters to the presidents of Columbia and New York University that Mr. Epstein had lured several women, including minors, by promising them admission to their institutions and paying for them to attend, even as he continued to sexually assault them. Between 2000 and 2002, Mr. Epstein paid for a young woman whom he abused to go to N.Y.U. and arranged a scholarship for her, Representative Raskin alleged. The particular shame of Naom Chomsky deserves far more detailed evaluation by Marxist-Leninists than this space allows. In particular Chomsky’s philosophical idealist base and his bizarre rationalisations of some of his own actions. But we will return to that elsewhere. But in the meantime… Why some Leftists refuse to believe that Chomksy was also prone to this collusion, is mystifying. One thinks of the phrase “it was only for his mind”…. As a trenchant Chris Hedges rightly observes:
“The explanation by his wife Valéria – Noam suffered a severe stroke in June 2023 and is incapacitated – of their relationship with Jeffrey Epstein is filled with the fatuous excuses used by all those who have been outed in the Epstein emails and documents. According to Valéria, she and Noam were “overly trusting.” This led to “poor judgment.” She writes that she and Noam were ensnared by dinners with luminaries at Epstein’s mansion, flights on his private jet nicknamed the Lolita Express, a literary reference to the sexual exploitation of girls Noam would have recognized, financial assistance, trips to Epstein’s ranch and the use of one of Epstein’s apartments in New York. Like everyone else outed in the Epstein files she and Noam “never witnessed any inappropriate behavior from Epstein or others.”
Noam’s advice to Epstein on how to handle press inquiries into his crimes, like Noam’s letter of recommendation for Epstein, was, she insists, the result of Epstein’s taking “advantage of Noam’s public criticism towards what came to be known as ‘cancel culture’ to present himself as a victim of it.” After Epstein’s second arrest in 2019, she and Noam “were careless in not thoroughly researching his background.” She ends by expressing “unrestricted solidarity with the victims.” Her letter regurgitates the formula of everyone outed in the Epstein files. I know and have long admired Noam. He is, arguably, our greatest and most principled intellectual. I can assure you he is not as passive or gullible as his wife claims. He knew about Epstein’s abuse of children. They all knew. And like others in the Epstein orbit, he did not care. From the email correspondence between Epstein and Valéria it appears she particularly enjoyed the privileges that came with being in Epstein’s circle, but this does not absolve Noam’s acquiescence. Noam, of all people, knows the predatory nature of the ruling class and the cruelty of capitalists, where the vulnerable, especially girls and women, are commodified as objects to be used and exploited. He was not fooled by Epstein. He was seduced.”

Conclusion
Actually, it feels quite disgusting going through all this data. But more is to come… as more files are finally, under pressure, revealed and perhaps, some edits (redactions) are removed. We can only agree with Edward Luce a columnist for the Financial Times when he writes:
“In a self-valuing democracy, the only defensible stance is to call for the release of all remaining files. That Trump’s lawyers were selective in what they published is beyond doubt; they also broke their own promises, which included redacting victims’ names. Dozens of women’s names have been made public. Having failed to convict anyone other than Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s accomplice, the system has once again let the victims down. That protecting them was not a priority speaks volumes. Their renewed terror sheds light on a system that seems to have learned nothing from the Epstein scandal and forgotten nothing.”

Today Representative Jamie Rashkin – the Maryland Democrat revealed he had done a search of un-redacted files. He had rights to see these, as he sits on a specific committee. After his demands, he was allowed to examine these but not photograph or duplicate them in any way. He claimed that ‘Trump” was mentioned in over a million separate files…
In the process of this small selection of the new release of “un-redacted” files, Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was exposed as a frank liar who expects no penalties. Late Night TV hosts including Jordan Klepper barbecued the sanctimonious Lutnick. Even so Trump is unlikely to fire him:
